The Elring 101508 is a precision-formed copper sealing ring engineered for the oil-feed unions of the engine oil pump. Built to DIN 7603 with an A-profile and a 10 mm outer / 6 mm inner diameter at 1 mm thickness, it crushes evenly under torque to form a leak-tight metal-to-metal seal even at high oil pressure and temperature. Copper construction lets the ring deform plastically the first time it is tightened, filling micro-imperfections in the mating faces.
